  1. Hit the cheese/meat/fruit trays - Skip the cookies, candy and Chex mix

How to Avoid the Post-Holiday Season Bloat!

We are in the final two week stretch of the holiday season when the opportunities for over-indulgence are the greatest.

Here’s what to do so avoid starting the new-year feeling like a beached whale, with a head cold, who spent all night at an All You Can Eat seafood bar.

    1. Hit the cheese/meat/fruit trays - Skip the cookies, candy and Chex mix

A recent study by Dr Simon Dankel at the University of Bergen in Norway, showed that all fats are not bad and eating dairy fats and full flavored meats can be a good thing. The study showed that the dairy and read meat fats, as wells as unprocessed carbs, can help you maintain or lose weight. It is processed foods, containing processed ingredients, like flour, sugars and trans-fats that cause problems!

    1. If you don’t take a probiotic… Start (make sure it contains a fibrous prebiotic)

By taking a probiotic you can prepare your GI to head off problems before they get a start.  A healthy population of Probiotic bacteria, the “good” gut bacteria that help your body maintain a healthy GI, can prevent GI discomfort before it starts.

    1. Boost your immune system to avoid a cold

There are the easy precautions we can take like, always washing hands, taking vitamin C or mineral supplements like zinc. However, these can be hit or miss.

On the other hand a healthy gut, which is home to 70 – 80% of your immune system, can optimize your body’s natural defense system.

Two recent studies in New Zealand showed that probiotic supplements can reduce the onset of cold symptoms by 30% and shorten your recovery time if you do get sick.

At SuperBio we developed SuperBio Probiotic, which is a proprietary combination of probiotics and Spirulina that not only helps maintain gut health but also supports the growth of “good” gut bacteria and boosts immunity. Taking a daily dose of SuperBio can help you prepare so you can enjoy the holidays, avoid all of the post-holiday feast discomfort and stay healthy this holiday season and beyond.
